Located in the “Good Neighbor City” of Middleton, WI, Cardinal View Senior Living embraces the neighbor feel by providing plentiful spaces for social engagement and connects to the local landscape through design details and color selections. As our own personal hometown, we were thrilled with the opportunity to design a beautiful and engaging building on the north side of town. Inspired by the Prairie School style of architecture, exterior elements of wood, steel and brick are brought inside creating a connection between the indoors and outdoors. The interior palate is drawn from local surroundings – colors of stone, clay, grasses, flowers, sky and water. Repetition of shapes and motifs throughout create continuity from space to space, making the entire building feel familiar and friendly.

Eighty-two independent and assisted living apartments are designed with thoughtful attention to layout, space, and large windows to bring in plenty of daylight. Full kitchens and in-unit washers and dryers allow you to as-if at your own home but without the worry of ongoing home maintenance. A large dining room with restaurant-style dining and separate pub and café spaces provide opportunities to connect with friends and family. Other amenities include a fitness room, salon, arts and crafts, theater, and a reservable family community room. Six separate patio areas exist to get a bit of fresh air, including one on the roof overlooking the surrounding area. A separate wing with twenty-one memory care apartments surround numerous activity stations that provide ample opportunities for engagement throughout each day.
